The Poás volcano is located in Costa Rica’s Central Valley region. This location is known for its high altitude and harsh weather changes, which allow coffee plantations to grow some of the finest beans in the world. The volcanic soil is filled with nutrients that help develop quality beans. In addition, the constant rain allows the beans to grow slower, resulting in more pronounced flavors after roasting.
