First tasted this coffee some 7 years ago at the Lima airport. Have been getting it ever since...nothing beats it's smoothness and lack of acidity!!!

Have been a coffee drinker european style for many years and have travelled the world around, until visiting Peru and tasting the Peruvian coffee, which found amazingly tasty, wondeful body and aroma. Now back in Canada were the coffee culture keeps growing cannot find that wonderfull Peruvian taste, to a point that I am planning to travel back for tourism and return loaded with coffee bags. MRG

5.0 Dark and smooth

by K Hartigan from Gainesvillle on Oct 6, 2011

I am a fully admitted coffee addict and drink it morning, afternoon and evening. I found out about Cafe Britt doing a tour off a cruise ship in Costa Rica and decided to change my ordered coffee to CB and have been very happy that I did so.

5.0 One of the best parts of my day!

by Marie from Washington D.c. on Jul 4, 2011

I live part of the year in Lima and this dark roast whole bean coffee is part of the pleasure of being there. Imagine my surprise and delight to know that I can buy it here in the U.S.! It's deeply rich, but not heavy. I brew it strong in a European drip carafe, then add hot milk that I've whirred with my aero-latte wand. It makes a beautiful cappuccino.

Product Detail

From Chanchamayo with Love

A deep, rich honey flavor and exceptional body distinguish this fine dark roast. From the renowned Chanchamayo region, this coffee is roasted until the beans’ rich oils rise to the surface for a bold taste that’s all Peru.

Coffee Connoisseur

Peru is known for its rich history, the mighty and mystical Andes mountain ranges, the colorful markets, music, diverse cuisine and superb coffee. Café Britt’s coffee experts work closely with Peru’s own to supply you with an ideal sampling of fine Peruvian coffees.

The beans for this excellent blend are grown in Central Peru in Chanchamayo Province. This region takes its name from the Chanchamayo River, which begins in the Andean Sierra and flows northwards, becoming the Perene River. The high altitude and climate here provide the perfect conditions for a mellow, lightly floral coffee with a clean, fresh finish.

Try this coffee alongside our Costa Rica Dark Roast to explore the differences in each coffee’s characteristics. Or enjoy it all on its own. The flavor and aroma will transport you to the majestic lands of its origin. Can you hear the gentle whistle of Peruvian flutes?
