Café Britt has been cultivating and processing certified organic coffee since 1991. Dark roasted, Café Britt Organic is harvested from plantations that use 100% organic materials to improve and fertilize the soil. In this way, soil quality is ensured, and ground water protected. The coffee bushes flourish under the shady embrace of native tree species, which increases the plantation’s biodiversity by attracting migrating birds and other animals. This makes for long-term sustainability of the region’s agro-ecosystem.

We combine coffees from four key growing regions to craft this remarkable blend. The Central Valley produces an especially hard-bean coffee for year-round consistent flavor. The elongated beans of the West Valley ensure a balanced cup. The beans of Orosi add a lighter note, and those from the Brunca region contribute a fresh, lively taste.

The dark roast brings out a strong flavor with hints of laurel and apple. It stimulates the palate and eases the conscience – only the best environmental practices are present in every bag.

Smelling a bag of Cafe Britt's organic coffee is like going back to my backyard in San Jose with my host family and enjoying a true cultural experience chatting in Spanish under the trees in the breeze. This coffee is perfection, even a newby would be hooked after one sip. Organic along with Poas are my two favorite Britt coffees and they will never let me down if I'm wanting to escape the South Dakota cold and feel as if I'm sun bathing in the morning in the forests of Costa Rica.

Wonderful coffee from an amazing place

We discovered Cafe Britt on our first (of many) trip(s) to CR in 2005 and have been loyal to this brand ever since! We purchase larger quantities for Christmas gifts and our friends and family look forward to the gifts! The country is so wonderful, we purchased property there last fall and will be building a home to move permanently in a couple of years. We have traveled coast to coast and north to south. The Arenal region is our favorite (to live) but Osa is a sight to behold - no other place like it on earth! The Cafe Britt coffee is wonderful - we continue to try different types that are offered but the Organic Shade grown still wins with us. The people of CR are amazing. We have meet so many wonderful, friendly, caring and helpful Tico's over the years and can't wait to be able to call CR our home! Thanks to Cafe Britt for their quick delivery and unsurpassed quality of coffees!

Best coffee by far!!

My husband visited Costa Rica quite a few years ago, & brought some coffee as a gift. Have been drinking it ever since. I give it away for gifts, but have to save enough for myself. Recently ran out & bought at the grocery store. Not good coffee. Even my husband, who doesn't drink it like I do, mentioned this morning how bad it was. Guess I better order again.

I was introduced to Cafe Britt coffee while vacationing in Costa Rica. It was the best tasting coffee I had ever tried, and ever since then i have ordered it direct. I have now been enjoying the coffee for 5 years. Thanks, Cafe Britt!

I visited Costa Rica and toured Cafe Diria and was absolutely amazed at the process of coffee. Staying at the Papagaya Occidental we were introduced to coffee Britt. AMAZING great flavoed coffee. We will be buying this coffee from you all over the internet and no longer drinking 3 selection coffee. Thanks for a great cup of coffee.
