5.0 Freshly brewed Tarrazu in bed is best

by An Artist from Ocean Springs, Ms on Nov 7, 2007

My favorite way to drink Tarrazu is in bed, first thing in the morning. My husband grinds the beans, brews the coffee, and then decants it to a carafe. Then he brings me the first cup. Wonderful

4.0 THE perfect way to wake up.. coffeewise.

by Coolpooler from Cold Lake Alberta on Nov 7, 2007

This and the Valdivia are easily my favorite day to day coffees. My all time favorite is Jamaican Blue Mtn (Which is my Christmas treat). But I have yet to try anything that even comes close to to these sisters for smoothness and taste! My co-workers are getting hooked on them as well!

5.0 Cafe Britt's Tarrazo takes us back!

by Barnacle Bill from Pacific City, Or on Nov 7, 2007

We wake up with Tarrazu. We have lunch with it, "tea" with it, etc. We use it as gifts, especially at Christmas in gourmet baskets. We cheer up sick friends, who love to have coffee with us. We first tasted it on our second trip to Costa Rica. We ordered 10 bags that day and have continued to order Cafe Britt coffee for our home and friends for the last four years. Coffee ole!

5.0 Your coffee is Habit Forming!!!

by Travel Agent Jan from Shawnee Ks on Nov 7, 2007

When taking your tour in Costa Rica, I tasted your coffees and was astonished to find that I could drink them WITHOUT my usual cream and sugar because they are so smooth and rich! As a travel agent, I began giving bags of Cafe Britt as client gifts. I now have clients email me when they are running low so we can all order together to get the benefit of your case prices! Others have moved on and order their own cases with friends THEY have introduced to your amazing products. They tell me that I have "spoiled" them as they now cannot drink any other coffee. No more storefront coffees for us!!!!! Thank you for all your fine products. This one is my particular favorite

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
