5.0 OUTSTANDING!!!

by Barbara St.martin from Stafford, Va on May 27, 2012

We received a bag of this coffee from friends who vacationed in Costa Rica. Sat in our freezer (bean) for at least a year. I found it , while purging the freezer and was hooked on my first cup. It is so smooth and delightful, it just makes my DAY! My husband and I have been married for almost 29 years. When I met him in Hawaii, he was flying helicopters US Army and I was a nurse. He was grinding his beans in the field and making coffee for his buddies. We even roast green beans from time to time.

5.0 Silky-Smooth, delicious, tasty

by Jen H from Aurora, Co on May 21, 2012

I love to have this silky smooth coffee every morning and sometimes throughout the rest of the day. The flavor is sensual from the front of your tongue to the back. It goes well with everything except pineapple juice.

5.0 The Best

by Richard Mower from Fountain Hills, Arizona on May 12, 2012

I have traveled and sampled coffee from all over the world and this is my favorite. The coffees of Hawaii. Asia and Africa just do not compare with this coffee. Previously I enjoyed a Columbian coffee and it was wonderful. This is better. It also combines well with other varieties to create interesting tastes if you care to experiment.

by Lorraine Jargiello from Brick, Nj on May 11, 2012

My sister told me about the coffee after a trip to Costa RIca, she raved about it. I tried it about a year ago and now can't drink anything else. I awake to the delicious aroma and can't wait for my first sip.

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
