This is my favorite of Cafe Britt's coffee - and I've been ordering my coffee from them for over 4 years. It's consistently delicious and the smell is amazing!

5.0 What's Better than a hint of Chocolate?

by Caffeine Connoisseur from Decatur, Ga on Nov 7, 2007

Cafe Britt coffee has been part of our morning routine ever since visiting the plantation several years ago. Once we tried the Tarrazu blend, however, it became our ONLY coffee choice. From the anticipation from the aroma of grinding to the first delicious sip, this coffee satisfies both the purist (black) and the enhanced (cream and sugar) coffee drinkers in the family.

5.0 Want the best coffee in your life?

by Puntygirl from Oceanside, Ca on Nov 7, 2007

Can't wait to drink my first cup at 4:30am in the morning. Yup, I can get up at this time because I look forward to the rich smell and taste of Tarrazu. I drink my next cup in the evening for the perfect pick me up. Need ideas for a gift. I give my bags of coffee away as gifts all the time.

5.0 Better than the well known coffee chain

by Brenda from Houston, Texas on Nov 7, 2007

Several years ago someone brought a pound to work and left it on the counter in the breakfast bar which meant that whoever wanted it could take it. I was the lucky person that got it. Since I did not really want it, I gave it to my mother. She drank it and told me it was the best coffee she had ever had. She actually saved the package so I could track it down for her. I got the website info from the package and have been ordering for the both of us ever since. I have tried most of the coffees from Cafe Britt and like them all. My personal opinion is that these coffees are so much better than you know who's coffee.

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
