5.0 Rich and smooth

by Kathy from Phoenix, Az on Nov 6, 2007

The first thing you notice is the wonderful aroma when you open the bag....chocolaty and fresh! The flavor is smooth and a hint of chocolate aroma in the finish. I am reminded of my trip to Costa Rica every ttime I drink this. I have ordered more as all I brought home is gone!

5.0 Waking up is easy to do, with Tarrazu ;)

by Dawn The Bodybuilder from Tucson, Az on Nov 6, 2007

We had our honeymoon in Costa Rica and fell in love with the coffee so we bought a bunch of it and sent it back through the resort we stayed at! The coffee and resort rocked so much we'll go back for a return trip! Costa Rica was beautiful and the people very sweet and kind. The coffee was amazing and we'll definitely buy some more and tell everyone about it! We bought all of the flavors minus the dark roast and gave some to friends as gifts! We absolutely love waking up to this coffee!!!!

Product Detail

From rocky ground

Experience Tarrazu Montecielo, a blend for the coffee connoisseurs with a penchant for perfection. Grown in the rich volcanic soils of Costa Rica’s famed Tarrazu region, these choice Arabica coffee cherries are ripened evenly at 1,400 to 1,600 meters, hand-picked, sun dried and dark roasted for a unique taste. Café Britt Tarrazu will surprise you with a flavor that hints of cacao and grapefruit and an aroma of aged wood and dark chocolate. Its intensity fills the palate, then fades cheerfully.

  • 100% Arabica SHB (Strictly Hard Bean).
  • Kosher certified.

Coffee Connoisseur

The beans from Tarrazu mature slowly, learning patience from their infancy. Sheltered by the Pacific mountain range, these sought-after beans share their sanctuary with colorful birds and enchanted forests.

Small towns and villages, each named for a patron saint, speckle this high-mountain region. Generations of farmers known for intense dedication to their craft have grown these particularly hard beans on small plantations nestled in valleys and perched on mountain slopes. The beans ripen slowly; requiring coffee pickers to visit each tree three to four times, plucking only the ripest beans, which are then dried under the Costa Rican sun. Café Britt works directly with family farmers to continue the nurturing process of these special beans. From the plantation to your cup, this coffee is patiently cared for with integrity each step of the way. The result is a strong coffee that fills your palate with unparalleled aroma, excellent body, and acidity reminiscent of sweet grapefruit.

Take your time... enjoy every sip.
