5.0 Dark Roast a hit with B&B Guests

by Hummingbird Inn from Goshen, Va on Nov 7, 2007

We serve Cafe Britt Dark Roast exclusively at our bed and breakfast (Hummingbird Inn in Virginia). We love the smell and taste and haven't found a coffee we like better! Our guests love it also and often ask if they can buy some from us. We sell them a bag and give them the Cafe Britt website to order more. We tell them to order it by the case - it's that good, and keeps well in the vacuum-packs.

Since being introduced to this wonderful coffee bean, I haven't had any satisfaction with other brands. I order this to my home address in Canada frequently. Keep up the great work.

Coffee Connoisseur

Britt’s Costa Rican Dark Roast is the reason the why world loves Costa Rican coffee – its taste is as enticing as its aroma.  Our experts select the beans for this classic blend from different parts of the Central Valley, where a combination of climate and soil produce the world’s best coffees.

The Central Valley’s high altitude causes the beans to mature more slowly. This makes them harder and less porous. Hard-bean coffees have higher acidity — a quality that brings out the coffee’s greatest aromatic features.  Hard beans also stand up well to a darker roast.

Our Costa Rica Dark Roast is roasted until the beans show a dark chocolate color and some of their natural oils begin rising to the surface. This gives the brewed coffee a stronger flavor and heavier body.  Your senses will discover hints of figs and red wine, with a dried-wood undertone.

Learn why Costa Rica is known for coffee.  Gather with your friends for a cafecito and sip our Dark Roast together with a nibble of Britt’s gourmet chocolate.
