5.0 Heroic Taste in a Decaffeinated Bean

by Monica The Watercolour Painter from Kentville, Nova Scotia, Canada on Nov 7, 2007

First visited the Britt Plantation in Costa Rica in 2000 and have been ordering the coffee ever since. The delivery system is excellent. Have tried quite a few other decaffeinated dark roast coffees but find none have the incredible flavour of Cafe Britt.

5.0 Cafe Britt Bounty

by Runawaybuckeye from Manning, Sc on Nov 7, 2007

A cup of Cafe Britt brings back fond memories of visit to the Britt Plantation. Good food is "punctuated" by a cup of Britt.

5.0 Tried them all--this is the best!

by Mom Of 5 from San Diego, Ca on Nov 7, 2007

When I had to switch to decaf for health reasons a year ago, I was certain I'd never find one I REALLY liked. I settled on one that was "tolerable" and then a freind turned me on to Cafe Britt. WOW. I honestly forget that I'm drinking decaf. After trying just about every decaf on the market--from grocery store brands to gourmet, trust me--this is the best!

5.0 What an invigorating way to start a day!

by Nanellie from Montreal, Canada on Nov 7, 2007

This coffee can be described in one word only - "Wow!" which is what my husband always says. It can take a sleepyhead and turn him/her into an invigorated, uplifted, cheerful, happy person ready to "take on the day!" The taste, texture and room-filling aroma tantilizes all 5 senses: hearing the bubbling sound of the perking, seeing the creation of steamy-hot energizing liquid, smelling the mouth-watering scent, feeling the warmth in the cup and finally, tasting the elixir of life as it stimulates the whole psyche - and that's all I have to say!

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
