5.0 Cafe Britt Decaf Coffee is the best

by Stacey Lake from Santa Cruz, Ca on Apr 28, 2010

When my Doctor told me I had to give up caffiene, I thought my days of drinking good coffee were over. Then on a trip to Costa Rica I tried Cafe Britt's Costa Rica Decaf. This coffee has the best flavor of any decaf I have tried. I now order it online, pounds at at time, so I don't run out. It is very easy to order. I love it.

5.0 decaf taste

by Bette Ann Oppenheim from Wayne on Apr 21, 2010

We purchased the whole beans and are grinding them as needed. This is the first decaf coffee that I drink with a minimum of sugar and no cream. We love it!

5.0 Costa Rica Decaf

by Enrique Pérez from Redlands, Ca on Apr 7, 2010

I was born in Costa Rica and have always loved Costarican coffee. I tried Cafe Britt in one of my visits to my parents and fell in love with it, best coffee in the world. When my cardiologist told me no more caffeine I was devastated, specially since at that time Cafe Britt did not carry decaf. I am so happy I can go back to drinking my favorite coffee again. I tried the Peru decaf but prefer the Costa Rica decaf.

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
