5.0 Cafe Britt decaf

by Rick Law from Chicago, Il on Mar 29, 2010

My wife and I lived in Costa Rica for a year in 2004 and we got to know the Cafe Britt coffees. She drinks regular, and although I love the taste of really good coffee, its best if I stick with decaf. Cafe Britt decaf gives you the taste of great Costa Rican coffee without exceeding your caffeine tolerance. I use it as my "all day long' coffee.

5.0 Costa Rica Decaf

by Gloria from Leesburg, Florida on Mar 21, 2010

We lived in Costa Rica for 4 years and owned a coffee farm for 12 years. Costa Rica has the BEST coffee and I like the decaf. My husband drinks the Dark Roast. We got hooked on Cafe´ Britt when we lived there and wouldn't drink anything else.

I bought some on a trip to Costa Rica and had to have more so found it on-line and now I am addicted.I have found with the free shipping it is worth the flavor and satisfaction and I drink this every day. A bonus is I remember the beautiful waterfalls and animals and the friendly people in Costa Rica when I drink it!

5.0 Best coffee ever

by Suzy Garland from Ankeny, Iowa on Jan 22, 2010

We do not miss the caffeine at all. Our son brought us back a pkg from a trip to Costa Rica a couple of years ago, and we have been ordering it ever since, It exceeds my expectations. The customer service people are awesome too! We like our coffee strong and full bodied.

5.0 Delicious!!

by Laura from Tampa, Fl on Dec 31, 2009

I love Costa Rican coffee, and when I cut out caffeine I thought I wouldn't be able to drink it anymore, but finding this decaf was great. Now I can have the delicious flavor without the jitters afterwards, it is much better than any other decaf I've tried. I bought the Peru decaf also but found it didn't taste as great as this.

Coffee Connoisseur

By the time our Costa Rica Decaffeinated splashes into your cup, it has completed a notable journey.   Destined for great things, the coffee beans originate in the Central Valley, where a unique climate and favorable altitude produce some of the world’s best coffees.

From our Costa Rican highlands, the coffee beans make their first journey to Europe where they undergo an indirect-water process that removes their caffeine without sacrificing their flavor. This process mixes water with steamed beans to draw out their caffeine.

The caffeinated water is then separated from the coffee beans and 99.9% of the caffeine is removed.  The final step reintroduces the decaffeinated water to the beans restoring any flavor that may have been extracted during the process.

The primed coffee beans return home to Costa Rica where we dark roast them.  Whether you sip coffee all day or drink a cup with evening sweets, our Costa Rica Decaffeinated blend delivers all the flavor, without the caffeine. Sweet dreams!
