5.0 No other chocolates satisfy me anymore.

I bought these at the airport on a whim when I was leaving Costa Rica. I am seriously the luckiest person in the world, because these have to be the greatest pieces of candy I've had the chance of encountering. Ever since I have been raving about how great these chocolates are and never thought to look them up online until today. I'm such a dummy, three years wasted on not eating these things. Anyway, guava is always a good time, and they make it into a jelly for you which is even better since ain't nobody got time for guava seeds. Then there's dark chocolate over that. Whoever thought of this combination needs a high five ASAP. Hoard these things, you need them in your life.

5.0 I could probably live on these chocolates.

by Candace from Austin on Jun 19, 2012

I travel back and forth to Costa Rica, and I cannot leave the country without multiple bags of Britt chocolate covered fruit - especially my favorite - Guava! It has converted me to loving fruit and chocolate when I used to keep them separate. I am so addicted, and my love of their chocolates took me to take their plantation tour even though I'm not a coffee drinker. I rarely review anything, but you have to know how delicious these are. Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag of every flavor of chocolate covered fruit. Trust me!

5.0 Definitely Ordering at Least 2 More Bags

by Lucy from Woodside In California on Apr 15, 2012

IN the airport shop I saw the bag of Dark Chocolates w/ a guava center. Below on a shelf was a small bowl of testers, so I had to try one. One after another, I couldn't stop until people started staring at me and exchanging glances. With only a few left in the bowl, too make it look natural my mom dragged me out of the store with a small bag containing an about to little to survive the plane flight.

Chocolate Connoisseur

Guava is one of the most gregarious of fruit trees, growing in many places around the world and almost universally known by its common English name. Known as guayaba in Spanish, the small fruit is thought to have originated near southern Mexico and throughout Central America.

Of the fruit’s more than 150 varieties, one is commonly known as the Costa Rican guava. White, fragrant flowers precede the round, yellow-skinned fruit. Inside, the flesh of the guava is highly acidic and naturally high in pectin, which is perfect for jelly making. Known for its strong, sweet fragrance, the flavor of the fruit is reminiscent of strawberry and pear.

In Costa Rica, Guayabitas are a traditional candy. We coat the prized guava jelly in premium dark chocolate, creating one of the finest samples of this locally loved sweet treat.
